Brent Applegate, PT
Brent began his career at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, working in many different areas and gaining experience in many of the different phases of the rehab cycle. It wasn’t until he combined his history of horses with that rehab process that he found what he believes to the most efficient and most beneficial form of rehabilitation to date. He believes it is the combination of traditional techniques in this unique setting that have the most profound impact on his patients

Caiti Peters
Caiti grew up outside of Denver, where she spent several years volunteering at a therapeutic riding center. She has been working as a pediatric occupational therapist since 2015, and obtained her Ph.D. in Occupation and Rehabilitation Science in 2018. In addition to providing occupational therapy at My Heroes, Caiti is also a post-doctoral fellow for the Temple Grandin Equine Center, where her research focuses on incorporating hippotherapy and the equine environment into occupational therapy for children with autism. She believes that horses offer powerful contributions to the therapeutic process.
